Details The Department of Posts has undertaken - 'IT Modernization of Department of Posts' which include single integrated modular software, Core Banking, Mobile remittances, networking of all Post Offices, and introduction of simplistic but highly scalable IT procedures and infrastructure. We have hired Accenture as our IT consultant and they are in process of studying Current Process and procedures for making high level IT strategy road map. The Project Management Unit has been setup at the directorate to undertake this objective.

In this major exercise under Mission Mode Project, our consultant requires realistic assessment on the current Products, Application and Procedures, their role, effectiveness and their importance from the users of those application.

You are requested to complete the survey questionnaire which are online now. This survey is a critical part of the assessment, and your response would determine the future course of action. Each survey can be taken only once.

The last date of filling up the questionnaire for the 'Application functional survey' is 27th October 2009 and the result of the functional survey would also be made available on 28th October 2009 at Sahuliyat.com, Intranet section.

It is especially important that system administrators, Counter Assistants, APM’s, Postmasters, SA, ASPO’s/IPO’s/ASRM/IRM/SPO/SSPO/SSRM/SPO/SRM/Divisional Office/Regional Office/Circle Office/DAP/CSD/PSD and all others should participate in the survey. The survey requires each participant to be part of Intranet Portal, Sahuliyat.com and only authorized officials can take the survey. Those who have not registered at Sahuliyat may kindly do so.

Wide publicity may kindly be given to all the office and officials under circle jurisdiction.
